Speaker Webinar With Kylie Plouff

Kylie is a 3rd-year student at UW-Madison majoring in chemistry and double minoring in Math and Asian and American studies. 

Kylie does research in the Jin lab and Ge lab, for which she is on the nanoproteomics team. In the Ge lab, she focuses on using Top-Down Mass Spectrometry to analyze proteins and their post-translational modifications; in the Jin lab, she synthesizes functionalized nanoparticles (NPs) to enrich for low-abundant proteins. Outside of research, she works as an organic chemistry tutor and assists in teaching general chemistry labs. 

As a chemist, Kylie has won a chemistry poster session with her research poster and is a co-author on two papers currently in the review phase. After graduation, she plans to obtain her master’s and Ph.D. in chemistry.

Speaker Webinar With Sallie Meyer

Sallie Meyer has had a winding journey to her career in technology. She holds a BA in Musical Theatre Performance, as well as a BS in Computer Science–Information Assurance and Security from University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. She currently works as the Data Processes and Project Manager for ChemDirect, a start-up located in TitleTown Tech.

Speaker Webinar With Blair Hoch

Blair Hoch is a Research Scientist at Schreiber Foods focusing on cultured dairy product development, primarily cream cheese and yogurt. She gained her bachelor’s of science from Penn State University in 2017 majoring in Food Science. Blair received the opportunity to intern at 2 companies during her undergraduate studies, one at Saputo focusing on Operations/Quality Assurance and at the Hershey Company in research and development. Following graduation, she accepted a full-time position in product development at the Hershey Company where she worked on the seasonal chocolate product development team. She is also currently pursuing her Master’s in Food Science.

ACT Preparation Session Schedule

For juniors taking the ACT exam in early March, we are hosting weekly sessions afterschool at Bay Port High School in Room B113! Top-scoring seniors, including perfect scorers, will be leading these practice sessions. Join us at 3:00 PM for in-person sessions.
